Future's view

Hello everybody! We are almost experts on the concept of economic conditionality which at this point you will have already noticed that is really important. 

We are just going to give you a general view of what would be the future of this concept if things go as we expect  as the logical trend suggests. 

As we have seen in the previous point, the most important right nowadays which is the basis of economic conditonality is the right to international solidarity. 

Regarding the future view of this right, its general objective  will be to create an enabling environment in which all human rights, including the right to development, can be progressively realized by all through measures of international cooperation and solidarity adopted by States, international organizations, civil society and all other interested parties. 

The independent United Nations expert on human rights and international solidarity has prepared a proposal for a declaration on this right, which contains very interesting contents, such as the obligation to incorporate the human rights approach into cooperation or the coherence of policies for the development or review of conditionalities in cooperation or strengthening of environmental commitments.

This statement still has a complex road to travel. It must be admitted by the Human Rights Council and then resumed and approved by the General Assembly. As on so many other occasions, only strong support from civil society will make it possible to take forward this declaration, which will undoubtedly constitute another step in this international system for the defense of human rights, which seems to us to be as insufficient as it is indispensable.
